The Place of Perfectionism

TS3 Awesomemod

Wonder what is awesome mod? Try it and you will know how awesome it is in the game!

We have done a neat procedure for you. Just follow it and you will be lead to the correct order in how to install this mod to your game for another fun aspect to hang on to it.

1. Download awesome.zip OR awesome124.zip (Pets patched)

2. Click Here to configure your wished setting for the game and download your custom configured package.

3. Unzip the package file from downloaded folder, and place both the package file and your downloaded configured aweconf.package to your custom content folder location. If you are not sure where to place the package files, read this article.

4. Try it in the game if it works. If it worked, follow step 5. If not, please visit Support Forum for further help.

—————————————————————————–

5. You will need to re-download the aweconf.package once in a while, otherwise your game will not be working with an outdated file. Follow step 2 again for the configure page and replace the new one over your old one. Do not duplicate the same files. It will not work.

  5. Hello I have been trying for a long while now to download the awesome mod. I put the files in the correct places but when I open my game it does not show anything. Can someone make me a tutorial on youtube of how to get the awesomemod to show up on my game or can someone please tell me in depth how they got theirs to show up. Please get back to me about this As Soon As Possible.

  6. It won’t show things obviously, it is not custom contents, but it is an Awesomemod, so it is a mod. You can serach for Awesomemod in Youtube, there will be plenty of tutorials and related search. If you are saying it is placed into the right place, though can you mention the specific location? Anyway, awesomemod if you have configured it correctly, it should work, there won’t be obvious options, visible objects, you will just have to investigate it. I done these procedures myself, so it would not be wrong by any means.

  8. Well it still isnt working. I downloaded the framework and i extracted it itnto the sims 3 Folder like it said to do on Maty. I downloaded the awesome Mod and made sure to put the awesome package into the Packages folder. Is the AwesomeMod updated for The sims 3 pets?

  9. For pets patched, you can try awesome124 download above. You haven’t explained how you have put your package files, this is a major effect that will possibly affect your awesomemod, whether it is appearing or not. For installation help, feel free to read here: http://perfectionistgal.wordpress.com/2010/06/30/how-to-install-package-sims-3/ Just to make sure if you have really got this correct.

  10. Would screenshots help?

    November 10, 2011 at 11:02 AM

  11. What other troubles you have been expericing with the game? And, what have had been solved by now? That would help, so we know where to focus on and considering about making screenshots for further tutorial.

  12. Okay so I have the resource.cfg file in the MyDocuments\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods folder. and I have the awesome mod in the Packages folder along with the aweconf.package. I have downloaded the framework and i extracted in the Mydocuments\Electronice Arts\ The Sims 3 folder . I have done everything tha the how to install thing says and everything that it says to do on Maty but when i load my game to see if it works it never does. My game will load but the AwesomeMod will not. P.S I am so sorry to be bothering you it seems like im the only one having trouble.

    November 10, 2011 at 11:42 AM

  13. With the resource.cfg, have you also placed into the Packages folder as well? Have you cleared the caches? Well, please check what you have enabled from the time you have configured your own package for the mod. For example, if “NoAutomaticSchool” is enabled, you will need to check if whether your kids and/or teens under their tab “education” I guess, which mention that they do not have any current activities – means no school has been applied, so there will be blanked space or whatever that looks like it. I know it isn’t as obvious as any other mod, though from this, you will see. Tell me after that of your testing. If you have other things enabled, try test it in this way. Hope you’ll find luck!

  14. Well its still not working for me so im just gonna give up, i have everything installed in the right place and nobody on the maty forum will help me and the youtube videos dont help they just show me how to install custom content which i already know how to do. Do you know anywhere where i could see screenshots of how to install and see if the awesomemod is working . message me at graymadigan@yahoo.com if you know someone who can help me .

  15. Have you searched the right Youtube place, you should have typed in awesomemod, other than how to install custom contents. Also, you don’t even seem to have seek support from MATY forums, and already assumed that they cannot help you out. Well, you are going to seek for forums at MATY otherwise when you aren’t even responding my questions and advices, no one can really help you. If you don’t contribute a part of it and give up about a day or two as I can see.

  16. All I know to really do is take some screenshots of where i have my files and put them up on here. would that be okay?

    November 10, 2011 at 11:29 PM

  17. I totally have no idea what to include in those screenshots. Though, I am wondering have you been listening to what I was saying? Everyone’s configuration is different, so that’s hard to do.

    November 11, 2011 at 12:26 AM

  18. No I mean do you want Me to put up some screenshots of where i have my files at

    November 11, 2011 at 7:30 AM

  19. It is your freedom whether you want it to put it in screenshots or describe the location where the CCs are stored at.

Hello I am also having problems installing the Awesomemod. downloaded the framework and made sure that the only resource.cfg file was in the Mods folder, then i proceded to put the awesome124.zip into the Packages folder and extracted it and then deleted the awesome124.zip. I also put the aweconf package into the Packages folder. So I dont know what im doing wrong and why it wont show up. I have looked on other websites and they said to open up the resource.cfg in notepad and you have to do something with that but they did not explain in detail after that so I dont know what to do. Please if you could reply to this or could you lead me to someone who can make a tutorial or make screenshots of exactly where they have there files so that way i can see if i have everything right.

  21. Hello Victoria R

The resource.cfg has to be placed into Packages folder that is stored within Mods, as well. About editing resource.cfg, you’ve got to be kidding…we ‘never’ edit resource files, and it is meaningless to edit it, unless you are a modder and in need to edit scripts…etc. What I can do is to reply your message here, and/or screen share for further support. Although, have you got the latest EP, The Sims 3 Pets? If not, you should stick to the awesome file without the 124. We highly suggest you what you have enabled through the configuration procedure, of those that has been enabled, you should investigate your game the so called BEFORE & AFTER.

Remind you that it is not an OBVIOUS mod, you cannot see “objects”, “options”. Hope you know what I am saying about, since this could be one of the reasons you never considered before. Anyways – Hope you have luck!

    Love, PG.

yay I finally have the Awesomemod working but it has a few glitches like I cant click on my character. but at least its working <3 I think the reason i cant select charcater is because I only have the sims 3, the sims 3 generations, the sims 3 town life and the sims 3 pets.

    November 12, 2011 at 4:46 PM

  23. Double check whether you have awesome124, and please keep mods as less as possible, since conflicts do happen. Try only having one mod at a time, and see what your game does after that. Anyway, glad that you’ve finally made it!

  26. You should try to restart the game after testing out possible conflicts. Use the Sims 3 Dashboard to filter which mod conflicts which and which bad files may interfere the current mod you’re having. Also, make sure you run Pets with 1.24. Otherwise, should be just awesome.zip.
