Master Controller
This mod has the power to control of almost everything in the game. It is not for The Sims 2 or 1. It is only made for The Sims 3 to work. Sorry about not being aware of new updates of Master Controller version for the game. Thanks for telling me by the way. You will only need a new version, if your game is to the latest patch. If you found the latest mod doesn’t work for you. Please note, because there will be upcoming updates for the latest patches of compatibility.
As always, ensure that you backup your save files prior to installation of this mod. This mod has the capability to really mess up your town if used improperly, so keep in mind that if anything can go wrong, it will go wrong.
This mod installation is pretty easy like the custom contents you used to put it in, which is the: Mods > Packages folder or a subfolder of Packages and you’re good to go. This does not interfere with AwesomeMod. It is not a “core” mod.
There will be more updates of new versions coming soon, when new versions of The Sims 3 has been changed and updated. If you are just updating to the latest patch, please copy and replace the newer files into the older one.

IMPORTANT NOTE
If your game is not up to date and is below 1.22, you should not install V51 or above versions, so it should be V46, otherwise, your game will become unusable, not showing up or will possibly have crashes/errors. If your game is up to date along with correctly updated EPs, and would like to have added new features and fixes, the newest version would be an ideal.
To determine your base-game Patch-Level, open the Game Launcher and hover your mouse over the base-game icon in the lower left corner. Note that only the Base-Game and your highest installed Pack need to be fully up-to-date. Intermediate Packs can be any version you want, without adversely affecting the operation of the game.

The previous suggestions I have given you were the possible reasons that I can think of to help you install it including a new download update to the post. Have you been following the instructions thoroughly? Make sure you don’t skip any main words that might be the reason to the failure happened to you. Try again from the absolute beginning, write down what you did in the process if you still can’t get this work, so that I can help you.

As I have said it was temporary. It only shows for once. Restarting the game may only reduce it back to 8-10. That’s why I have always warned you about that, didn’t I?

Have you checked whether the version of the master controller mod has been matching with your current version game? I think I should update the most recent version of the master controller. Hope it will help. Since the only one that is available to download is an older version. Thanks for telling me BTW. Look up at the post above for the updated download link. You can use this mod to add more than 8 sims. Anywhere you can click in the game appears the option “Nraas”, thats the option you should follow and try find the wished option. Options varies.

When you say you have already put it in the game, that means the game is possible of reading the content. There are no such thing as to activate it. If you cannot see it shows up, it means there were something wrong the time you were trying to place the content for the game.

Try and search it your own. Self learn it and explore this complicated mod. I can’t help you a lot with it, since the game is not with me right now. Anyway, it is “possible” to have more than 8 sims. You will just have to figure out. Something called Add Sim, Instant Babies and so much more I couldn’t remember.

Hi, I recently downloaded your Master Controller which is by darn the most help mod that is made for Sims 3, but yesterday it stopped working. I think it’s due to the Pets expansion. The mod works in some places of the game, but clicking on the selection “basic” it closes the game and kills my save file. I know it’s outdated but will you have one up by the end or opening of next month.

Hi!
I’ve been trying to put this mod in my game, but it seems not working. I have the base game (ofcourse
), generations and pets. I’m not excactly sure witch update or patch i have, so i ‘ve tried to install them all. Not at once, one at the time and i’ve deleted each one before i put onother one in de right folder. I’ve other dowloads, like clothes and hair and stuff. And they’re working perfectly.
I;ve put the mod in Sims 3/ Mods/ Package/ Hacks. When i go to my game i click on a sim, but nothing happends. Even n i go to city hall, nothing happens.
I guess i’m doing something wrong, but i’ve absolutely no idea! Can you help me?

You have done right to do it one by one, otherwise it will probably appear lots of conflicts. When there is a sign that your other custom contents are working all well, I think there wouldn’t be lots of major problems.
Okay, well one thing – what is that thing that says Hacks in your folders? May I know where you got reference of this from? There are no reference and instructions for that at our site, nor would that exists for placing mods in Hacks folder other than Packages folder. Are you putting it into Documents or C drive? It has big differences.
First mistake, Package is incorrect, you should rename your folder into Packages. Second mistake, there are no such Hacks folder in the Packages folder. Remove that please.
Read this article for CC installation guide, since I believe you haven’t.
Try it and see if it works. Tell me the next time.

Thank you so much for your quick response! I’ve installed my sims on the E drive not the C drive. My husband made two different ones. One for regular stuff, like documents and one specially for games.So my folders are: E:\Games\sims 3\Mods\Packages. Hack’s a supfolder in packages. I also have clothing, hair and furnuture. I’d like to know what’s what, so i can delete downloads i don’t like anymore.
I’ve named the folder Packages, i typed it incorrect, i’m sorry. I’ve tried to put the mod just in Packages, not in a subfolder, but it’s still not working.

When was the last time you had been seeing your custom contents working in the game? At that time, what kind of alteration have you done? Or is it this the first time you try installing?
I suggest you not to confuse the original way of creating new folders anywhere under Packages folder IMO, that may be one of the possibility interfering the game. I do understand your reason to create subfolders, and just of curiosity, why would you delete downloads you don’t like but is placed into your packages folder? If you don’t like them, you wouldn’t be deleting it after a while. It seems like you want to save time to load these contents (by my experience), actually there’s a way to do so, read this article for instructions in how to compress package files.
Your case of putting in E drive is an uncommon way and personally I never done this before, although I believe it still can able to read your game contents, just that there would be different directories. Just curious, are those disc or digital versions? If so, directories could be different.

You mean you are placing Mods folder in Packages or the other way around? Anyway, referring back to your folder location – E:\Games\sims 3\Mods\Packages. It is alright, only with the part starting from Sims 3. About E drive, I guess it is the same with C drive, but I guess it is not quite a good location to create folders and place packages into Games directory. You should place it Documents directory where there will be the Sims 3 folder. If Documents only for C drive, you might try to place it in C drive while E drive the game was being installed. If E drive has documents directory, you should place it there other than in the Games directory. Do you have Expansions? If not, you should place it through E drive, and into the Electronic Arts folder location that includes The Sims 3 folder.

I’m trying to install the Master Controller. My game is based on version 1.24, but that is my last EP Generations presents version 8.0. I put the master controller in C: / Program Files / Electronics Arts/TheSims3/Mods/Packages and there is also the Resource. Also put the dll file in my last expansion installed. Inside Game / bin. Still, my game did not work with mastercontroller. I tried installing several versions of it. Among them the latest, version 55, version 14. I think that may be incompatible, as the basis for the version of Generations is 1.22 and mine is like 1.24. My game does not ask for updates. And I do not know what else to do. And yet it does not work.
Do you have any idea what could be?

You shouldn’t have put it in Program Files, you know…Please cut and paste the Mods folder into your Documents directory. Test the game and tell me how it works. By the way, what is that dll specifically. Be sure not to use both versions of master controller, and place it once together in the Packages folder, that cause serious conflicts. What version have you picked? You should use V62 for your game. The 1.24 nor 1.22 are either good to go, though even though your game does not automatically update your game, it is totally fine, since you have installed up to Generations only.

So, I put in mastercontroller Documentos/TheSims3/Mods/Packages. The dll file is d3dx9_31.dll I read that copy of the sent folder Game / Bin TheSims 3 and put it in the game folder / bin in its latest expansion. But now this dll file has to be put right? I did not think the version 62 and then I’m using version 63 of mastercontroller .. I did it that way you said and still did not work. I have the following expansions: Generations, Late Night, Around the World, Life of Luxury.
Yet there is something wrong?

You haven’t mentioned about Resource.cfg. It needs to be in for your Sims 3 directory Mods and Packages folders. In order to run any mod, you must included the d3dx9_31.dll file in the correct directory. if your game fail during loading your saves, it is because you don’t have d3dx9_31.dll, or you don’t have it in the right directory. Please check these things and test the game to see how it works. At least if version 63 is patch compatible with your current version Generations. About the around the world and life of luxury, there isn’t any of these in reality. Do you meant World Adventure something like that? Anyway, can you specify what’s wrong right now with your game, is there a fail load, error or anything related?

So the problem is in mastercontroller. It does not work in the game. I did exactly that, put it in the folder: Documents, TheSims3/Mods/Packages. And there is also the Resource file. But the file d3dx9_31.dll must be exactly in what place? I’m putting the d3dx9_31.dll into C: Program Files / TheSims3 Generations (as this is my most current expansion) / Game / bin. This directory is correct? Now asked to do an update to the game going to the base package 1.26. Since he is currently 1.22. How would that solve the problem? Thank you for responding me in details, this is something that we really need in order to help your issue completely.
If it worked for me, therefore it wouldn’t not worked for you. There must be some problems out of this mod, since I see there are a lot of people using it currently. Where have you put the resource file, is it placed in both the Packages and Mods directory?
Have you tried not to place the dll anywhere? Try test it with the game without it, by cut and paste it temporarily at your desktop. If it wouldn’t work, tell me. Since I have double checked mine, and I do not think it is always necessary to place dll there as I do not have such file in my folders. Since it is only for core mod.
Have you deleted your caches, especially script one? If not, delete it and try to enter the game again. Deleting won’t cause your game any problem, it is like deleting old memories, and recovers automatically by creating a new one when you are in the game.
If you do not have The Sims 3 Pets, do not update to 1.26, since this is the latest patch right now. If you have already installed, you will either need to reinstall the whole game and EPs, since patches can’t be removed to older version as usual. Or, you can buy the Pets EP one day and install it in the game.
I now can see that there are a lot of issues regarding the game that should and are needed to be solved as soon as possible. Before even thinking about placing your new mod “master controller”, please consider fixing your game issues first, since when the game is healthy, then it will only do its secondary procedure.
Please consider about the amount of your custom contents, if you have a lot of them, or either you do not check whether it is corrupted, caused conflicts or disabled…etc. Try installing the Sims 3 dashboard that you can easily find it through Google. It helps you to see what CCs are good or bad.
About mods, do not place too much third parties mod into your game, since they possibly do crash a lot, if you do not know its specification. Game modification is a bit finicky.
Most importantly, you should install ALL your game and EPs into the SAME directory. Installing sometimes in D drive and sometimes on C drive, nor installing into different root folders won’t work, and will never work. You shouldn’t have installed into D drive at first place, you mentioned about your other EP(s) in C drive, that will not work. Therefore, reinstalling it and place it all in C drive (recommended) is the best. Before that cut and paste all your game custom contents files on your desktop.
Please answer this question – do you have both digital version and discs version are installed into your computer drives? If so, please specify whether you need to insert a disc to play or it is through digital. Also, which of it are installed by digital or discs version. I will respond to this, since this is serious issue that may cause your game load failure.

So. I did exactly that way and still did not work. I removed the dll and still did not work. Now none of my mods are working. You said it was to put the Resource file in two places? What exactly they healthy? This file has to stay inside the Packages folder? To answer your question, I need to play with the CD. The virtual disk D was only after I created the games cracker. But now I play with the originals. And the record is still there. And this is the administrator user. The problem can only be this, because they are not corresponding. And this is false D drive. Did you reformat your computer and install all the expansions again, within just a directory can be the solution?

Can you describe the whole procedure here? There should not be any mistakes, please respond to this question, in order for us to help and investigate deeper to the core problem(s).
Hearing you saying that you have both The Sims 3 games and its EPs are either installed into C and D drives, no matter what is its background, thing to stick to is that you should install all of these into the SAME directory. Different directory does not work, and will NEVER work (in my experience). As I can see, there is another problem. So you have some digital and non-digital versions combined. What you can do is to install all of your games and EPs into digital version ENTIRELY. Yes, here is the link you can download it through Origin, after entering your game code.

As this requires you to reinstall your game, be sure to:
1. Back up your saves files, custom contents, game files (the whole sims 3 root folder)
2. Use REVO uninstaller to 200% clean out all your game’s remain files. Use advanced setting when uninstall your games, and delete all when the registry files pop up appears.
3. Install ALL your games through Origin, where digital version games are able to install to your computer.

So, I managed to install the master controller. I was just enough to update the game to version 1.26 all worked MODS! Even without the Pets! When I buy, nor will it ask to update more. This is what I believe!Thanks for the tips. Your site is all really good!

You can ask me at anytime. There are no problems with the files content itself, therefore there must be some compatibility nor bad files matter. If you decide to delete the custom contents, go to your Packages folder that is in your Sims 3 root directory, use ctrl+a to select all and delete files that ends with .package.
A better way to solve this problem is to search google for Sims 3 Dashboard Tool that would determines your CCs’ problems. That way, it makes everything easier, since it finds out which files is bad that causes your game run improperly.

PG, I deleted the packages folder and anything beside it, but my game kept closing and sometimes my computer said that it deteted a problem and the windows had been shut down to prevent damage to the computer…. Any suggestion?
Previously I’d never get the “blue screen”…. But after downloading this, I got loads…

I think you should have backed up the packages files, did you done that? It would be a secure for your contents. I would highly suggest also about Sims 3 Dashboard Tool if you haven’t as mentioned last time. It helps you identify the core issues.
I think your game needs to be reinstalled again. Try the software through Google search for REVO uninstaller. When you had installed it, use advanced option to clear the registry files as well. Just select all then delete everytime it asks you for it.

Hi PG, I wondered if you could help me please. I have downloaded your Master Controller MOD and I am pleased to say it has installed. I am having a slight issue (probably my own fault) but I cant find the SKILLS section. Under BASIC I have SELL ITEMS, SORT INVENTORY and TATOO, but No SKILLS Tab. Am I looking in the right place? I cant find it anywhere else either? My game is V1.26.89 and I am up to Generations on the EP (No Pets) I downloaded NRaas_MasterController_V74.zip.

Hi Harriet
Without Pets, you must not download V74 either V65. You had gone way too much, they are not compatible with your game and will make your game crash. V62 is compatible with your game since you have Generations.

Hi, I’ve used the mod a bit but I haven’t come across the Instant Baby yet or how to change the skills. For the Instant Baby, I watched the video on YouTube and tried to follow along but I don’t think mine has the same features available, because when I click on the person and go to Intermediate, there is only 6 options. And Advanced has mainly options to kill the sim or to edit it and when I tried to follow another video of maxing out the skills, again I didn’t have the same options – I couldn’t find the Skill Stamp option either. Is there any chance you could help me with this? (I downloaded the latest version of the mod from this site and I have the Sims pets)

I guess you have NRaas_MasterController_V74.zip? I personally do not use this version of mod and in case I may guide you the wrong place, maybe the best is to take some screenshots of advanced, intermediate and basic options if you can? Thank you.

Yes I was using that one, but after I read your comment, I looked on http://nraas.wikispaces.com/MasterController and tried their base mod and it was still the same so I tried the Cheats module and it now has the features I was missing. So all good but thanks for replying

I didn’t back up the package files… But anyway I’ve been note-ing the changes after I deleted the mods.
Sorry I’m so long anyway, internet problems.
Here : At first, my computer just work fine.
after a few days, about 4 or 5 “blue sccreens” appear
I left it, and less (about 1 or 2) “blue screens” appear
idk why, now there’s only about 1 “blue screen” appears, but there’s a very huge problem of the internet connection.
I diagnosed the problem about I think hundreds of times, but it always says, “troubleshooter can’t find the problem” or something like that…

Just a very important note for you…never ever ever Ever delete any files without initial backup! I feel sorry for you, but please if you can find them back in the recycle bin, don’t ignore it…copy them back somewhere like your desktop temporarily.
About the Internet connection, I guess you had been facing the problem these several days? Because I sometimes do so too, so it is not an uncommon problem and would not possibly be your fault. Blame it on the electricity functioning problems.
Anyway, wish you have a nice day. Just rest and stay away from problems a while, do other things, that may help heaps.

You see, I am trying to increase the Celebrity Level for my Sim. But the thing it, My Master Controller doesn’t have that thing in the Intermediate section. Could I have installed the wrong Master Controller? Please help me. Oh and, I love your mods. So far, I only trust your mods. And I hope you can reply to me as soon as possible!

What EP do you have and which version have you downloaded? The newest version layout may look very different than the older ones as they are simplified.

Hello, PG…
As u see, as I’ve wrote before, my internet connection is so slow and sometimes won’t work so I can’t open it as often as I wanted to.
Well, my sister usually deletes whatever is in my recycle bin, so what should I do…?
The blue screens started to appear again, I need ur help!
And sometimes my Sims3 exited itself, again.
After 2 exit-by-itself s, whenever I keep opening it or do anything to do so, it will close itself again even before the loading screen appears…

You should uninstall all those with REVO uninstaller, and it may be also a possibility that your computer may be at its minimum requirement and that it does not meet the requirement needed for the game.

Thank you so much! It might be strange to hear this but I’ve been actually looking for obsolete versions of Twallan’s mods as I haven’t updated my game (base game is 1.17) for fear of messing with my cc’s, and your blog is the only one where I found a master controller compatible with with my patch. Do you happen to have an obsolete overwatch mod as well? ;p

Have you downloaded the right version? You should get one that is compatible with your game. It will show up otherwise.

I have a question it works fine on my comp except for one thing, It doesn’t give me an interface for more than 8 sims, i have the right version already checked that, it lets me have many more than 8 sims however doesn’t show them in the little boxes on the left. can you help?

@zerhai I think you need a portrait mod that gives you option to add more panels for your sims. Forgot the name but it comes with the word portrait, I find it really useful if you have more than 8 sims, it will show up.
